fleetHQ.com/QMI Chevrolet Silverado team will be making its return to NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) action in the American Ethanol 225 at Chicagoland Speedway this weekend.

This weekend’s race will be the first for driver Chad McCumbee and crew chief Kevin “Cowboy” Starland with RBR and the team’s first attempt since Charlotte over two months ago.

“I’m excited to get back on track and see what we have with Chad and Cowboy,” said team owner Ricky Benton. “They have both been with us less than a month and have really hit the ground running. I think we are going to be pretty good at Chicago. We are bringing the same truck that was run at Rockingham and Charlotte. We ran well at both tracks but just didn’t have the finish to match.”

For Starland, this weekend’s race is a barometer of the RBR program’s standing and learning where the team needs to make improvements.

“We aren’t going up there to run 18th,” Starland said. “We have the equipment to run in the top 10, but a good day for us on Saturday would be running 150 laps, improve the communication between Chad and I and truly evaluate where we need to make changes.”

“I am excited that Chicago is my first event with RBR,” said McCumbee. “I have had some success there in the truck series. My first event at Chicago produced a front row start and a great race. I think we have made some solid gains with our BTS Chevy at the shop and hope to showcase it at the track.”
