Jason White Battles New Truck Bugs On Way to 11th Place Finish

Jason White and his GunBroker.com team entered the Bluegrass State with high hopes and a brand new truck.  The Virginia native would end up battling the heat and his new No. 23 GunBroker.com Ford but persevered with a solid 11th place finish in the running of the UNOH 225 at Kentucky Speedway.

On one of the hottest days of the year thus far, White started the 150-lap event from the 12th position as a result of his qualifying effort earlier in the day.   The early stages of the race saw White and the Doug George led GunBroker.com team try multiple adjustments as they worked to get a grip on their new truck out on its maiden voyage.  The multiple changes seemed to work as the race progressed with Jason moving his way inside the top-10 before settling for the 11th place finish.

“We just battled getting a grip on this new truck tonight,” stated White. “This is a brand new truck that we built and it can be a little difficult the first time out. But we learned a lot about the truck tonight and we were pretty good there at the end.  It was a hot one out there today and all of the guys on this team battled the elements and did a great job with all of the adjustments and changes we made – I am proud of them. ”

Jason climbed two spots to 11th position in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series drivers’ standings – now only one point out of the top-10.
“In all we had a solid outing tonight,” added Jason.  “A run like this excites me about the rest of the season.  The guys on this GunBroker.com team take great pride in their work and building this new truck is personal for them.  This is going to be a very good truck in our stable as this essentially was a test session for us tonight and we made great strides and almost brought it home to a top-10 finish.”
