JJL Motorsports, Jesse Little return to Gander Truck Series action at Bristol Motor Speedway

Returning to the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) scene for the first time since World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway in June, JJL Motorsports and driver Jesse Little head to Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway for Thursday night’s UNOH 200 eager for a top-10 finish.

The nearly eight-week break of Gander Truck Series competition has allowed the family-owned JJL Motorsports team to work to regroup and ramp up for not only Bristol but a busy fall with their No. 97 Visit Kingsport | Skuttle Tight Ford F-150.

“I can’t wait to get back to Bristol,” said driver Jesse Little. “It’s such a cool race track and one of my favorites. Super excited to have Visit Kingsport and Skuttle Tight on boardour JJL Motorsports Ford F150. I’ve always had a lot of speed at Bristol whether it’s been in K&N or Truck Series competition and I don’t expect anything less on Thursday.”

Being a one-day show puts the pressure on teams like JJL Motorsports and Little to perform, but as the Sherrills Ford, N.C. native notes, his team is ready to thrive under the pressure and deliver a strong finish.

“Bristol is one of those races that everyone keeps an eye on,” added Little. “There’s going to be stiff competition – but I’m confident we’ll have what it takes to be competitive and contend for a strong finish on Thursday night.”

The UNOH 200 also marks Little’s 30th career race in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series since 2015. The second-generation driver will seek his eighth-career top-10 finish.

Announced last week, JJL Motorsports welcomes back Visit Kingsport and Skuttle Tight who will serve as the co-primary marketing partners for the 17th race of the season.

Promoting the city’s “Get Into the Outdoors” campaign, Kingsport offers a variety of activities including hiking, biking and zip-lining at Bays Mountain Park and Planetarium, kayaking on the Holston River – or at sunset enjoying the overall beauty of Kingsport while sipping on the city’s original Long Island Iced Tea.

Long-time JJL Motorsports partner Skuttle Tight, a Willmar, Minn.-based manufacturer that offers two insulted attic access system that are easy to install joins the team for their eighth race of the season.

“We are excited to once again be partnering with JJL Motorsports and Jesse Little for this week’s Bristol race,” offered Skuttle Tight president Chad Kompelien. “We find this marketing partnership as a great avenue to market our products to all of the fans of NASCAR.

“Jesse and the team do a great job for us and we are excited for this week’s race at Bristol!”
