Crafton Moves Into Top Ten In Points Standings after Kansas Race

Matt Crafton took the green flag starting in 17th position with his Menards/JELD-WEN Toyota Tundra. After five cautions and 167 laps, Crafton finished in 12th position.

While at Kansas Speedway, Crafton was unable to gain a valuable track position from the start after qualifying 17th. After losing a few positions on a restart, Crafton had a difficult time passing to get him up with the leaders.

Matt battled his truck all day, finishing in the 12th position. “We had a great race truck, but we just didn’t have the right truck combination for the conditions. I am not happy with the 12th place finish, but I am happy that we are moving in the right direction and are now in the top ten in driver point standings,” said Crafton.

Crafton gained another spot in the NCWTS point standings, advancing to the 10th position, 48 points behind leader Timothy Peters. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series returns to action at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 18th for the N.C. Education Lottery 200.
