JJCR Announces Juan Manual Gonzalez in NGOTS #10 at Martinsville

Jennifer Jo Cobb Racing (JJCR) is pleased to announce that Juan Manuel Gonzalez will make his NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) debut in the #10 JJCR Chevrolet Silverado this Saturday, March 23, 2019.

At just 19-years old, Gonzalez has several years of racing competition in both the United States and in Mexico. He began racing go karts when he was 12-years old and steadily advanced his levels of competition over the past seven years.  He has competed in the NASCAR Peak Mexico Series since 2017 where he has earned two race wins, a pole position and numerous top-5 and 10 finishes.  He joined the ranks of future NASCAR stars in 2018 when he began competing in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series and being selected for the NASCAR Drive For Diversity Combine.

The Mexico City native is currently a student at The University of the Incarnate Word In San Antonio, Texas where he studies Business Management. “I am really thankful with the team for this awesome opportunity, It looks like I’m getting closer to my dream.” He expressed. “I am really excited and I am sure that I will be learning a lot during the weekend. JJCR owner and primary driver, Jennifer Jo Cobb will step out of her familiar #10 to give Gonzalez the opportunity for his NGOTS debut.  “A lot of people helped me get to the top levels of NASCAR and I feel it is my duty to provide opportunities to drivers who are looking to break in at this level,” Cobb said.  “I still love to race so I will be back in the seat next week but I would love to have JuanMa and other up and coming drivers as teammates for future races this year.  Martinsville is a tough race so it made sense for me to step out and focus on his efforts this week.”
Gonzalez plans to return to the NASCAR Peak Mexico Series and to compete in more races in top U.S. national touring series’.
