Jesse Little; JJL Motorsports set to return to Trucks in 2019

On the heels of a successful 2018 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) season which saw JJL Motorsports and Jesse Little deliver six top-10 finishes in nine races, the family-owned team is ready to deliver more in 2019.

The landscape, however, will be a little different for Little who will have a new crew chief and new personnel for their Truck Series schedule this season.

With the departure of Matt Noyce, JR Norris has joined the team as crew chief of the team’s No. 97 Ford F150’s this year. Jamie Smith and Josh Frankos also join the team in a truck chief and lead mechanic role and will work side-by-side with Norris.

The team also plans to increase their schedule in 2019 by competing in 12 to 15 races depending on sponsorship. The team will make their season debut in the second race of the year at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway on Sat., Feb. 23, 2019.

“We’ve had some changes during the off-season, but we believe we haven’t missed a beat,” said JJL Motorsports team principal Jason Little. “Even with the personnel changes since Homestead, the guys have been working hard in the race shop getting us prepared for the new season.

“Like last year, we expect a competitive season with strong finishes and hopefully a win or two by Homestead. “We’re also aggressively continuing our sponsorship search efforts in hopes we’ll be able to at least double our presence from 2018.

We may be a small team, but we have big things to offer both on and off the track.”

While searching for additional funding to enhance their schedule this year, JJL Motorsports is proud to have the returning support of Wings Over North Georgia Air Show, Grindstaff Rub. Co, Skuttle Tight, PFC Brakes and Penske Shocks who will adorn the No. 97 Ford throughout the 2019 NGOTS season.

“I’m looking forward to getting back on track,” said driver Jesse Little. “It’s been a busy off season, but our team continues to put the effort and devotion into putting the strongest product on the race track.

I’m eager to build my relationship with JR and our new crew members. I’m also thankful to have the support of Wings Over North Georgia Air Show, Grindstaff Rub. Co, Skuttle Tight, PFC Brakes and Penske Shocks and hope we can continue to go out there and bring them finishes they can be proud of.”
