Quote:

“I’ve been dreaming of this since I was a little kid. Every time you start doubting yourself, you need a situation like this to come along. I’m about to cry; this is amazing. I raced my heart out. This is all I’ve worked for my whole life. I can not be more thankful for the people that I’m surrounded by. This is for everyone that’s ever pushed me to this point. I never thought this would be possible. Thank you Fraternal Order of Eagles, GMS Racing, Maury Gallagher, Todd Braun, my family and friends. It’s been an incredible experience. You never know when you’re going to race again but now we can say that we’re Truck Series winners.”

Quote:

“We struggled early in the race with being tight and the later into the night we got, it started to loosen up. The No. 21 guys worked hard the last two days and we really improved on what we had in practice. I think Justin did a great job on the restarts there at the end and I wish we had something for him, but it’s really cool to see someone put everything they’ve got out there and finally get rewarded for it. This is a big night for GMS and GMS Fabrication, locking a second truck into The Playoffs.”

Cody Coughlin, No. 2 JEGS.com Chevrolet

START: 12th

FINISH: 9th

POINTS: 10th

Notes:

-Despite running on seven cylinders for a majority of the race Saturday night, Coughlin was still able to persevere to a ninth-place finish, his sixth top-10 finish of the 2018 NCWTS season.

-Collecting his third consecutive top-10 finish, Coughlin moved into the 10th position in the NCWTS driver point standings.

Quote:

“Wow, what a night. Running on seven cylinders for almost the whole race was hard. To leave with another top-10 finish, considering the circumstances, was awesome. I’m very proud of Jerry and the whole JEGS.com team. We will be back after it in Chicago.”

Dalton Sargeant, No. 25 Performance Plus Motor Oil Chevrolet

START: 18th

FINISH: 30th

POINTS: 11th

Notes & Quotes:

– Following the 10th race of the season, Sargeant is 11th in the NCWTS driver point standings and second in the Sunoco Rookie of the Year standings.

Quote: “I had some contact with the 4 truck. It just happened to be on the restart there before the end of Stage 1 and I got into the left front fender and I’m guessing that’s what might have caused that left front to go down. It wasn’t too big of a deal. Once we hit the wall it must’ve broke the brake lines and I had no brakes. Right now, we’re just working on trying to get better each and every week. We’ve had some unfortunate finishes these past couple of weeks. The speed hasn’t been there so we’re just trying to get our No. 25 Performance Plus Motor Oil Chevrolet back up front and back running fast.”b
