SIXTH-PLACE FINISH FOR MATT CRAFTON AT KANSAS

“Our FlexSeal/Menards Ford F-150 didn’t respond in the race like we expected it to. We just struggled with free on entry, tight off throughout the race. We made adjustments on it throughout the night, and just couldn’t get it dialed in, and track position was key. It wasn’t from lack of effort. Junior and all the guys never gave up. We’ll get em’ in Charlotte next week.”

GRANT ENFINGER FINISHES A TRACK-BEST EIGHTH AT KANSAS

“Overall it was a top-10 finish, but it was more than that as far as I’m concerned. We had really good speed out of our Protect The Harvest Ford F-150 – better speed than we’ve had. Like I keep saying, every truck we’ve brought to the track this year I feel has been better than what we had last year. A lot of that is thanks to Ford Performance, but a lot of it is due to these guys at ThorSport Racing, and I’m really proud of that. I made a mistake on that last restart, and we only had 50 laps or so to make up for it. I feel like I made up for some of it, not all of it, but just had a couple mistakes – some of them my fault, some of them circumstances. Overall, I’m proud of the effort, proud of the speed, we just didn’t have the brakes fall in our favor tonight. Like I said, we had a truck that I felt like could have contended, if we had a little bit better track position tonight.”

FUEL SHORTAGE FOILS MYATT SNIDER’S CHANCE AT KANSAS SPEEDWAY VICTORY

“It was a rollercoaster night, for sure. We went from the back to the middle, to the back, to the middle, to the back, to the front, to back again. It was just really up and down, but we never gave up and we kept digging. We kept having little tiny setbacks, but we still ended up leading until five to go. I’m really proud of my No. 13 Louisiana Hot Sauce ThorSport Racing crew, because this is what championship teams do – they never give up. We sure had a lot of setbacks tonight, but we really showed our strengths, and I’m proud of everybody.”

HEARTBREAK CONTINUES IN THE HEARTLAND FOR BEN RHODES AT KANSAS SPEEDWAY

“The Alpha Energy Solutions Ford F-150 was really fast today. We definitely had a truck that was fast enough to win the race, and in my opinion, we should’ve won the race. We were challenging [Noah] Gragson for the lead there in the second stage, and we were definitely faster than him – it was a matter of laps before his tires wore out, and we could pass him. Unfortunately, we had some motor issues similar to Atlanta. We weren’t able to find any issues during the race, so we’re going to take the truck back to Sandusky and figure out what it is.”
