KCK Driver has exciting year in racing-NASCAR this Fri at Ks Speedway

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) team owner/driver and Kansas City, KS native,  Jennifer Jo Cobb returns to the Kansas Speedway in her #10 Think Realty Chevrolet Silverado to compete in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series 250 on Friday evening, May 11, 2018.  

 

It’s been an exciting year for Cobb, who recently participated in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series in Valencia Spain for German racing team, Racing-Total and her first NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Talladega Speedway for JP Motorsports.  “I’m having a bit of a pinch me kind of a year,” says Cobb.  “In Spain I stood on the podium with tears in my eyes and then came home and had a lot of fun in Talladega.  Our finish was not as well as we ran as we had a miscue on our green flag fuel stop but at one point I hit close to 195mph and for a minute was one of the fastest cars on the track.  Drafting and superspeedway racing is magical.” 

 

To add to the excitement, later this month Cobb will travel to the countries of Georgia and Azerbaijan to speak for the U.S. Embassy to females about entrepreneurship, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and present to the nations’ female military members.  “They’ve promise me more European racing while I am there so it should be quite an adventure.  All of these opportunities are a blessing and a confidence boost for sure.”

 

Many Kansas City area sponsors will support Cobb for this race – returning are Think Realty, Mark One Electric, Cornell Roofing, IBC, Pizza Shoppe and new this year, Osage Contractors, LLC and CommunityAmerica Credit Union.

 

On Tuesday, May 8th, Cobb will join the members of WCOE (Women in Construction Owners and Executives) for Women Build. This 4-day event allows women to come together to build a home for a recipient of a new home from Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity.
