Sadler ready for First Trip to Darlington in Trucks

Elliott Sadler is no stranger to Darlington Raceway. During his 16-year NASCAR career, the veteran racer has 25 starts at Darlington and has run well at the tricky, 1.366-mile egg-shaped oval. Sadler will need that experience when he returns to the familiar track in a not so familiar vehicle – a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series truck –in this weekend’s Too Tough To Tame 200.

Sadler has made just 12 starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series during his career and he is hoping his next start, at the notoriously difficult Darlington Raceway, will be lucky number 13.

“I’m excited to head to Darlington this weekend to compete in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event. Darlington is one of my favorite tracks,” said Sadler.  “The team has been hard at work during the off weekend for the Truck Series and I know we will have a fast truck for the event.  We have a little added pressure on us this weekend as we will carry the undefeated Armour Vienna Sausage colors on the No. 2 Chevrolet Silverado.  It should be a greatrace and a fun event for all the fans to come out and enjoy.”

The Too Tough To Tame 200 will be run at Darlington Raceway on March 12. The family-friendly event is scheduled to begin at 5:00 pm and is a unique opportunity for fans to enjoy a one-day show at the Lady in Black. Tickets for the event include access to all practice and qualifying sessions beginning at 9:00 am and arestill available starting at just $15 for adults, kids 17 and under are admitted free. Pre-race pit passes are also available to the public for just $15 foradults and $5 for kids 17 and under.

Sadler, who iscompeting fulltime for Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, will return to Darlington Raceway on May 6 to run in the Royal Purple 200. Sadler is also running a partial NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule for KHI in 2011.
