TRACK-BEST FOURTH-PLACE FINISH FOR GRANT ENFINGER AT LAS VEGAS

“These ThorSport Racing guys brought a really fast Curb Records Ford F-150 tonight. It wasn’t drivable there at the beginning, in dirty air. I take responsibility for that – I didn’t put us in vulnerable enough positions yesterday during practice. But my crew chief, Jeff Hensley worked on it, made it way better, and I feel good about where we were at the end. Unfortunately, we didn’t pick up many Stage points to speak of, so I’m kind of disappointed in that, but still a solid night for us.”

BEN RHODES LANDS HIS THIRD TOP-10 FINISH IN THIRD RACE OF 2018

“We had pretty decent speed in our No. 41 Alpha Energy Solutions Ford F-150 today. It wasn’t the absolute fastest truck, but it was definitely fast enough to be in victory lane. We drove through the field from a 14th place starting spot to fourth, but unfortunately had a pit stop issue in the race which put me at the tail end of the field. I had to fight my way through, but unfortunately there was only one caution, so we had to do a green flag stop and gamble on right side tires. When the caution came out, that set us up badly on the restart with some guys with fresh tires right on our tailgate. They were able to get a run and basically stall our momentum and go four and five wide on the backstretch. For me, to keep from getting into a wreck, I had to back out. Ultimately, it was a solid effort, but not the finish this team deserves. I said it at Atlanta that, this truck deserves to be in victory lane – we certainly had a fast enough truck to do that, we just couldn’t get the track position tonight.”

“The guys at ThorSport Racing really gave me a great Liberty Tax Ford F-150, but we just had a small mishap on pit road where the tire got away from us and ended up causing a penalty. Racing is all about minimizing your mistakes, and unfortunately, we made one on pit road, but up until that we were perfect. We were up front battling for the lead, and that speaks for how strong this team is. If we keep running like this, we’ll get wins in no time with Liberty Tax.”
