Clay Greenfield Races for Semper Fi Fund This Weekend in Drivin’ for Linemen 200

Veteran driver and team owner Clay Greenfield (https://claygreenfield.com/) is raising awareness for the Semper Fi Fund this weekend in the Drivin’ for Linemen 200. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event is the eighth on the 2017 calendar and takes place Saturday night at Gateway Motorsports Park in St. Louis. Greenfield’s #68 Chevrolet Silverado will be sporting the full Semper Fi Fund branding and color scheme.

“My team is honored to be racing in support of the Semper Fi Fund,” says Greenfield. “The organization does extraordinary work for all our wounded, ill and injured service members from all service branches and their families. And over 93% of every dollar donated goes directly to their program expenses and the services that Semper Fi Fund delivers.”

The Semper Fi Fund was founded by a group of military spouses who wanted to lend a helping hand to all the men and women returning from Iraq, and it’s now in its 13th year of providing support to critically ill and wounded service members. The founders will be cheering on Greenfield this weekend as he attempts to bring home the checkers while supporting the fund’s mission in a big way.

Qualifying for the Drivin’ for Linemen 200 is at 5:45 p.m. ET on Saturday, June 17; a tape delay broadcast will air on FS1 at 7 p.m. Coverage of the 160-lap race begins at 8:30 p.m. Gateway Motorsports Park has consistently produced great racing over the years, and this time around figures to be no different.

“We’re looking for a great finish, and we have the equipment to get it done,” adds Greenfield. “We want to say thanks to our amazing sponsors who make this all possible. And of course, we want to give credit to all members of the United States Armed Forces, veterans, and their families who’ve made great sacrifices on behalf of the nation. We’re truly blessed to be able to do what we do.”
