MDM NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Review: Dover International Speedway

Brandon Jones made his second consecutive NCWTS start for MDM Motorsports on Friday evening in the Bar Harbor 200 at Dover International Speedway located in Dover, Del. After starting 14th in the Roland Chevrolet Silverado, Jones scored a sixth-place finish, his first top 10 of the season and third for MDM Motorsports.

Jones raced inside the top 15 for a majority of Friday’s 200-lap event. Pit strategy near the end help secure top-10 track position for the Georgia native. He took advantage of it and scored a sixth-place finish. That finish was MDM Motorsports’ best finish since a top-five effort at Martinsville Speedway on April 1 with Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver Ty Dillon.

“Our Roland Chevrolet struggled early in the race, but with pit strategy and everything, we were in the catbird seat by the end of the race,” said Jones. “If that last caution didn’t come out, I think we would’ve had a shot to at least finish inside the top three. We weren’t able to get tires on that final stop like some of the guys, but still, to finish sixth on old tires at Dover-I’m really proud of the effort of our MDM Motorsports team.”

Jones will pilot an ARCA Racing Series entry on Friday, June 9 in the General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200 at Pocono Raceway located in Long Pond, Pa. The next NCWTS event for MDM Motorsports will be winstaronlinegaming.com 400 at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday, June 9. An announcement regarding the driver of the No. 99 Chevrolet Silverado at Texas Motor Speedway will be made early this week.
