Little aims to shine in Ford Ecoboost 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway

Jesse Little will use a solid performance in his last NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start (Texas Motor Speedway, November 4) in his efforts to close out the 2016 season with a strong performance in the series finale. The Ford Ecoboost 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway caps the University of North Carolina-Charlotte student’s racing season that has taken him across the country in two separate series.

“This has been a busy season for me as a driver and things have really picked up in recent weeks with the debut of our JJL Motorsports team. We took a solid Toyota Tundra to Texas, focused on the team’s performance throughout the night and came home with top-20 finish. We’re after stronger finishes, just like any team that competes, but we don’t have a pressure of the championship or points racing to contend with this weekend. That gives us a dedicated focus on running up front and challenging for the nest finish possible,” Little said.

Putting together a set-up that qualifies well and transitions to a truck capable of racing with the leaders is the focus of the weekend, he added.

“We qualified 13th at Texas and ran towards the front of the field. This team led by (crew chief) Matt Noyce knows what to do to give me as a driver the best truck possible to close out our 2016 season on a strong note. With this being the final race of the year we’ll look to be a factor. The alliance we have with ThorSport Racing is key to putting together a solid foundation for our Toyota. They have been very helpful to JJL Motorsports in providing technical assistance and I know that we can go to their teams and drivers for some feedback to make our truck even better. They have a driver challenging for the championship (Matt Crafton) and we’ll do everything we can to help him reach his goals.”

Little continues his partnership with The Carolina Nut Co. as a primary sponsor of the No. 97 Toyota and welcomes the NASCAR Technical Institute, Performance Friction Brakes and Racing Electronics as associate sponsors for the weekend.

“Our JJL Motorsports team is excited to continue our partnership with the Carolina Nut Company. They offer great products and have been great supporters of our organization this season. To team with the NASCAR Technical Institute again along with PFC and Racing Electronics is also big for our second start of the year under the JJL Motorsports banner. All of these companies are committed to racing and have outstanding employees that we’re proud to have behind us at Homestead.”
