NCWTS: William Byron Claims New Hampshire Pole

William Byron will start on the pole at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday for the 19th annual UNOH 175. Byron, one of the hottest drivers going into the Camping World Truck Series Chase, will go into the weekend looking to capture his sixth win of the season. The hot rookie driver holds eight top five and 10 top 10 finishes through 16 races.

Timothy Peters will start right beside Byron in the second starting spot. Peters, a driver who made the Chase via points, posted a 28.872, 132.374 mph. in the final round of knockout qualifying. The North Carolina native holds four top five and 10 top 10 finishes this season.

Christopher Bell will roll from the third starting spot in his No. 4 Toyota for Kyle Busch Motorsports. Bell, who got into the Chase via his win at Gateway Motorsports Park in June, posted a 28.790, 132.374 mph. in the final round of knockout qualifying. The Oklahoma native holds seven top five and 11 top 10 finishes through 16 races.

There were two incidents during qualifying that brought out the red flag in the first round. The first incident involved the No. 16 truck of Stewart Friesen as he left pit road. The second incident followed shortly after involving the No. 74 of Timothy Viens. Both drivers were able to drive away without damage.

No drivers failed to qualify as 32 appeared on the weekend entry list.
