DC Solar, Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s official off-grid mobile solar partner, has been named title sponsor of the track’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race for 2016. The DC Solar 350 will take place at LVMS on Saturday, Oct. 1, with John Wes Townley returning to defend his title from a year ago. It will be the 20th staging of the popular NASCAR series race at LVMS.

LVMS and DC Solar partnered earlier this year to provide solar-powered EV charging stations and LED mobile solar light towers during this Spring’s NASCAR Weekend. This newly expanded partnership will dramatically increase the number of LED towers in use throughout the LVMS property.

The green flag for the DC Solar 350 will drop at 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time and caps a busy day at the 1.5-mile speedway. The Neon Garage opens at 8:30 a.m., NCWTS practice sessions run from 8:30-9:30 a.m. and 10-11 a.m., and the second annual Show & Shine car show begins at 11:30 a.m. in the Fan Engagement Area. In addition, the NCWTS Driver Autograph Session runs from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the Fan Engagement Area and qualifying begins at 3 p.m.
