Penalty Report – Kentucky

There was only one penalty handed out today and it was to a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team.

During post-race inspection after the Buckle Up In Your Truck 225 last week at Kentucky Speedway, the No. 86 Coastal Carolina Chevrolet driven by Brandon Brown was found to have lug nuts not installed properly. According to the NASCAR rulebook, the violation falls under Sections 12.1; 10.11.3.4. Brown finished 20th in final race standings.

Crew chief Adam Brenner has been suspended from all NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Championship Points events through July 27. Along with a fine of $5,000, Brenner has also been placed on NASCAR Probation until December 31.

Brown has ran in nine of ten truck events so far this year. The Woodbridge, Va. native has one top-five and one top-10 finish on the season and is currently ranked in the top 20 in the series standings.

The next event for the trucks is the Aspen Dental Eldora Dirt Derby at Eldora Speedway on July 20. Coverage is scheduled on FS1, MRN and Sirius XM Channel 90 and begins at 9:00 PM EST.
