Late Model Standout Matt Mills to Join SS Green Light Racing

SS Green Light Racing is happy to announce the addition of late model standout, Matt Mills, to its driver roster in 2016. The 19-year-old New Philadelphia, Ohio native will pilot the No. 07 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) entry at select races this season.

“Joining a successful organization like SS Green Light Racing to start my NASCAR career is a dream come true,” Mills said. “I’ve worked my entire career for an opportunity like this one. I cannot thank Bobby (Dotter) enough for giving me a shot behind the wheel of his No. 07 Chevrolet Silverado.”

Mills joins SS Green Light Racing following a successful partial season in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour in 2015. He earned two top-10 finishes in just four starts in the premier Pro Late Model series in the Midwest. He also scored a top-10 finish at the Baby Rattler at South Alabama Speedway in March of 2015. In addition to his template late model success, Mills scored a top-10 finish at his home track Midvale (Ohio) Speedway during the Outlaw Super Late Model Main Event Racing Series race.

SS Green Light Racing, owned by Bobby Dotter and Ken Smith, fields  entries in both the NASCAR Camping World Truck and NASCAR XFINITY Series. The team is headquartered in Mooresville, N.C.

“We’re excited to have a talented driver like Matt (Mills) who is full of potential join our organization,” said SS Green Light Racing Co-Owner, Bobby Dotter. “We’ve heard a lot of positive things about Matt and look forward to working with him this season.”
