NCWTS: Ryan Truex Begins Camping World Truck Series Season With Strong Finishes

Ryan Truex continues to show dominance in his No. 81 Toyota through four NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races in 2016. Truex, driving for Hattori Racing, has taken the small organization to two top five and two top 10 finishes.

The young driver leaves Kansas sitting third in points. He looks 10 points behind driver standings leader Timothy Peters and two points behind Daniel Hemric in second. You could say the New Jersey native is going through a rebuilding process in his career.

Just this past weekend, Truex brought a new partner on-board of his truck.

“I can’t thank AquaStar enough for their support, they are solidly behind the development of my career,” said Truex in a press release. “To have such a quality organization partnering with us is a dream come true for me, I hope to hand them a Victory Lane trophy after the event.”

Truex had three appearances in the Sprint Cup Series with HScott Motorsports in 2013. His best finish came in his final appearance of that year with a 32nd at Dover International Speedway. After that year, Truex moved over to BK Racing in 2014. In 23 appearances in the No. 23 Toyota – his best finish came in August of 2014 before being let go from the racing team. He has not made a Sprint Cup Series start since.

He continues to search for his first career NASCAR National Series victory.
