Bobby Pierce, the 19 year-old dirt track phenom who impressed legions of NASCAR fans with his amazing performance at Eldora Speedway last season, has once again teamed up with MB Motorsports for 2016.
The Oakwood, Illinois native will be behind the wheel of MB Motorsports’ #63 Chevy Silverado for the Toyota Tundra 250 at Kansas Speedway on Friday, May 6th, the Dover 200 at Dover International Speedway on Friday, May 13th and the NC Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Friday, May 20th.
Team owner Mike Mittler is enthused to be working with Pierce once again. “Bobby is, without a doubt, one of the most talented drivers racing today. We had a successful first race together last year at Eldora,” notes Mittler. “Bobby captured the pole for the 1-800-Car-Cash MudSummer Classic and almost came home with the win, coming in a close 2nd in his NASCAR debut. It was great night for Bobby and our team. Any organization that partners with us for these races with Bobby will be served well by his talent.”
Bobby has amassed a lengthy list of accomplishments for someone so young. Pierce is a two- time and defending DIRTcar UMP Late Model National Champion, as well as the 2015 DIRTcar UMP Summer Nationals Champion, He has over 130 total career feature wins with various regional and national touring series, numerous track championships, as well as winning the 2013 Champion Spark Plugs Search for a Champion.
“I’m excited to be back with Mike and all the guys at MB Motorsports,” says Pierce. “We’re set to run the three races in May, but we still need marketing partners to join us. We’ve shown that we can deliver lots of exposure for our sponsors and the team has excellent marketing programs to offer them a great value.”
