Contreras Motorsports’ driver, Mike Bliss, was forced to retire from the third round of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on lap 115 after an unexpected electrical system fault that caused loss of power in the no. 71 RaceTrac Chevrolet.
The 2002 NCWTS champion started 26th and demonstrated a solid performance throughout the day reaching 21st position before retiring from the Alpha 250.
Bliss’ highlight of the race was fighting for position with ThorSport driver Rico Abreu for more than 50 laps.
Contreras Motorsports’ next race will be May 6 as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series travel to Kansas Speedway for the 4th round of the series.
