Forrister Looking for Strong Finish to Rookie NASCAR Season

The 2015 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series rookie season will come to a conclusion for Korbin Forrister and the SS Green Light Racing team on Friday night at the Homestead-Miami Speedway when he get’s behind the wheel of the black Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery No. 08 Chevy Silverado.

The year has been full of ups and downs for the young driver and although no racer ever wants the season to end, Forrister is ready to spend some time in the outdoors with his family as he finalizes plans for 2016. “We’re looking to finish the year strong in the trucks for our sponsor Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery.”

After celebrating his 23rd birthday earlier this week, Korbin is looking forward to spending some time at home in Georgia. “I’m looking forward to spending some time in the outdoors and do a little deer hunting with my family. My favorite is bow hunting, but I haven’t been able to get out as much as I would have liked this year. There is a nice buck I’ve been following for a couple years that I’m hoping to get a shot at.”

Friday’s Lucas Oil 150 will be Forrister’s twenty-second start of the NCWTS season for SS Green Light Racing team. “We planned to run about 15 races at the beginning of the year and thanks to the help of our sponsors like Tilted Kilt and the SS Green Light Team who stood behind me we were able to run all but one race which I’m thankful for.”

Forrister stands 18th in the NCWTS driver standings going into the Ford EcoBoost 200. He has a season-best finish of 12th was in the opening race in Daytona. “I’m hoping we can end the year on the same high note that we started with. “We are bringing a decent truck with a recently freshened motor so I think we should be competitive at Homestead. We’re looking for a solid run and hoping to bring home a top-fifteen finish.”

“I want to thank Bobby Dotter and the whole team for their support this year and BJ McLeod and his guys for helping us throughout the season,” concluded Forrister. “Everyone has been very supportive all year even when we had some bad luck and they all worked hard to get us to the next race.”

The Ford EcoBoost 200 is the 358th consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team, a streak that dates back to 2001. There are 37 trucks on the entry list that will attempt to qualify for the 134-lap, 201-mile race.

Practice for the Ford EcoBoost 200 will be Friday, November 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:25 a.m. Qualifying will be at 4:10 p.m. and the green flag will fly on the season ending Ford EcoBoost 200 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.
