NCWTS: Crafton Captures Texas Motor Speedway Pole

Matt Crafton claimed the WinStar World Casino & Resort 350K pole at the Texas Motor Speedway on Friday. Crafton posted a time of 29.769 seconds, 181.397 mph. in the final round of qualifying. The California driver enters the Texas Motor Speedway chasing his third consecutive Camping World Truck Series championship. Crafton currently sits 10 driver points behind Erik Jones with three races remaining. Jones will begin the race in fifth.

Spencer Gallagher will start in the runner-up position beside Crafton. Gallagher posted a time and speed of 29.842 seconds, 180.953 mph. when the final round of qualifying ended. The Las Vegas native comes into the weekend with one top five and five top 10 finishes. He continues to search for his first career Camping World Truck Series win.

Daniel Hemric will take the green in the third starting position behind the wheel of the No. 14 California Clean Power Chevrolet. Hemric ended the final round of single truck qualifying looking 0.090 seconds behind the pole sitter. The North Carolina native enters the weekend with four top five and 12 top 10 finishes.

The No. 02 of Tyler Young will start at the rear of the field for an engine change. No drivers went home as 32 drivers and teams showed up.
