Forrister Back to Texas with Tilted Kilt

After a week away from the track, Korbin Forrister is ready to get back behind the wheel of his Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery Chevy Silverado Friday night when the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series returns to the fast and tricky Texas Motor Speedway just out side of Fort Worth.

Texas is the 21st race of the NCWTS season with only Phoenix and Homestead remaining on the 2015 schedule. “I’m anxious to get back behind the wheel of our Tilted Kilt Chevy again Friday night in Texas. I prefer racing at night, I really don’t know why, I guess it’s from all the dirt racing I’ve done is always run at night. I just love running under the lights and Texas is a great place to do it.”

Forrister finished 18th at the mile and a half speedway in the spring race and is looking to improve on that finish Friday night. “We had a decent run back in June, but I think we have the ability to gain a couple spots from that finish. We are brining the same truck we ran at Charlotte and Las Vegas and we’re learning what we need to get it to handle better each time we run it.”

“Texas isn’t the same as some of the other speedway’s we run,” explained Forrister. “It’s pretty easy to mess-up getting into the corners because there is a real fast transition from the straightaways into the corners. If you don’t hit the corner just right it can disrupt the truck.”

“Plus, they have that huge monitor on the back stretch and you have to be careful to keep your eyes on the track and not watch yourself on the big screen coming out of turn two,” he joked.

The Kilt Girls, who will accompany him during pre-race activities, will once again join Forrister at the track.
