Forrister Excited to get back to Speedway Racing

Korbin Forrister finished 12th in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season opener at Daytona and since that great run in February, the rookie from Cedartown, Georgia has been looking forward to running on the high banks again.

 

This Saturday, in the Fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola, Forrister and the SS Green Light team will bring the same Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery No. 08 Chevy Silverado that ran in the lead draft at Daytona. “We have the same truck from Daytona with a fresh motor in it so I think we will be pretty decent in the race overall,” said Forrister.

 

“We’re happy to have Tilted Kilt back on our Chevy again. Their support is great,” said Forrister. “We’re going to run pretty much the same Tilted Kilt design we ran in Las Vegas only on a white truck this week.”

 

Forrister ran the SS Green Light Racing No. 07 in last year’s Fred’s 250 and earned his second career lead lap finish, crossing under the checkers in 19th after running up near the top-ten late in the race before another truck made contact forcing him to lift and fell back in the pack. “It’s wide open all the way around on every lap at Talladega. You hope nothing happens that makes you loose the draft because you can’t get back with out help.”

 

This week will mark Forrister’s 25th career start in the NCWTS and he currently sits 15th in the series point standings through 18 of the scheduled 23 races.


“We have some guests coming from Tilted Kilt this weekend,” concluded Korbin. “And of course, the Kilt Girls will be there with us too – which the fans love. Speaking of that, I highly suggest everyone gets out to one of the pubs to check out the 2016 calendars and enjoy some of that great food.”

 

The Fred’s 250 is the 354th consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team, a streak that dates back to 2001. There are 32 trucks on the entry list for the 94-lap, 250.04-mile race.
