Forrister Keeps on Trucking at New Hampshire

Before the start of the 2015 NASCAR season Korbin Forrister made plans to run 15 races in the SS Green Light Racing No. 08 Chevy Silverado. All season long, Forrister and the team have aspired to expand his schedule and competing in the full slate of races. Saturday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series UNOH 175 at the Hew Hampshire Motor Speedway will be his 17th start of the season and the 23rd NCWTS race of his career.

Forrister has been working hard over the last several weeks to run the complete season. “We were scheduled to run 15 races and we’ve made it past that, but we’ve been working hard to secure additional funding to finish out the year,” said Forrister. “We have some things in the works, hopefully we can get something finalized in the near future.”

Until a deal is signed, Forrister will decal his Silverado with the popular “Trump for President” paint scheme again to show his support for Donald Trump’s campaign for President in 2016 that has earned substantial social media attention over the last two months. “I’ve had a lot of fans reach out to me and share that they appreciate how I’m standing up for what I believe in. A few have called me crazy. That’s OK. I personally don’t think it’s crazy to speak your mind. What makes a person fearless is saying what you feel and standing behind it, don’t back down.”

“Never been to New Hampshire before,” he continued. “I’ll get some advice from BJ (McLeod) and Bobby (Dotter) and I’ll be watching some of the veterans during practice. I do my best to try and watch what lines Matt Crafton runs each week because he has so much experience at all the tracks.”

“We’ve had some bad luck the last few races, last week at Chicago we were getting better on the track and picking up speed and all of a sudden we picked up a miss in the motor. I originally thought we dropped a cylinder. Later we discovered that it turned out to be a plug wire issue. Sometimes the smallest things bite you,” Korbin concluded. “It’s time for that streak to end and to get rid of that bug!”
