Timothy Peters Finishes 12th at Bristol

In the UNOH 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway, which was delayed by a red flag for rain, Timothy Peters finished 12th. Peters was eighth in first practice at the half-mile track on Tuesday afternoon and recorded the 15th-fastest speed in final practice on Wednesday morning. In the three rounds of knockout qualifying, Peters transferred to the second round where he secured the 15th starting position. After taking the green flag, he maintained position in the top-15 as he fought a loose condition in the early laps of the race. On lap 81, crew chief Marcus Richmond called Peters and his red and white Toyota Tundra to pit road for four tires and fuel, as well as wedge and air pressure adjustments. Peters continued to battle a loose condition and Richmond brought him to pit road again on lap 159 during the caution period prior to a red flag for rain. After track drying efforts, the race resumed on lap 173 and Peters fought his way into the top-10, running as high as ninth, but he fell back during the green-white-checkered finish and crossed the line in 12th.

Timothy Peters Quote:
“I’m a little disappointed in our result because I felt like we had a great Toyota Tundra heading into the race today. All of the guys worked really hard, especially with such a quick turnaround from Michigan, and I’m ready to get to Canada and see what we can do there.”
