New Hampshire Preview: Brendan Gaughan

New Hampshire Motor Speedway is a track that Brendan Gaughan is only cautiously optimistic about. He admits he has had some great race trucks and race cars at the Loudon, NH, based 1-mile oval, but, he has had his fair share of run-ins and at the track, too. For the eight-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series winner, New Hampshire is certainly a track he’d like to conquer—and one he knows can be tricky for him.

“New Hampshire is New Hampshire. It’s a bit like Milwaukee but with more grip since the pavement is newer. I have had good race trucks there but it’s a bit frustrating to me because my finishes at the track don’t really show it. I have been caught up in other people’s problems there. You name it, I think it’s happened to me at New Hampshire. That said, I’m looking forward to getting there to see what our No. 62 South Point Hotel & Casino Tundra will do. Our team has had some strong performances in the past few races and I expect to see more of the same at New Hampshire,” explained Gaughan.

Gaughan will race chassis number GR-017 for Saturday’s 175 laps/185.15 miles at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
