NCWTS: 1-800-Car-Cash Mud Summer Classic

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series invades the Eldora Speedway for the third annual 1-800-Car-Cash Mud Summer Classic. The Eldora Speedway will serve as the one and only stop on a dirt track for the series. Darrell Wallace Jr., who is not entered in the field, comes into the race as the defending race winner.

The entry list features 34 drivers and is packed with fresh faces. These include Jake Griffin, Chad Boat, Brad Keselowski, Austin Dillon, Ty Dillon, Cody Erickson, Jody Knowles, Ken Schrader, Christopher Bell, Bobby Pierce, Stewart Hayward, Madeline Crane and Sean Corr.

The series will have a little different qualifying format. These include two-lap qualifying and five 10-lap heat races to set the field. NASCAR will use the results in the two-lap qualifying session to set the lineups in the five heat races. Top five trucks in each heat race will transfer into the main event. Everyone who doesn’t get into the field will have one opportunity later on in the last chance race. The top two drivers in the 15-lap last chance race will start in positions 26th and 27th. Positions 28th through 32nd will be determined by provisionals and past series champion if they’re not already locked in.

Austin Dillon will seek his second NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory at the Eldora Speedway on Wednesday. Dillon won the inaugural event at the dirt track back in 2013. The North Carolina native finished 10th last season and was unable to lead any laps.

Cole Custer looks to add to his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series resume on Wednesday. Custer, driving the No. 00 Chevrolet, will make his first national series start on a dirt track. Custer comes into the weekend with four starts, one victory, one top five and two top 10 finishes this year.

Fans can watch the race on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Sports Go at 9:00 p.m. ET. The Motor Racing Network will carry the live radio broadcast of the race.
