NCWTS: Erik Jones Captures Toyota Tundra 250 Pole

Erik Jones captured the pole for the Toyota Tundra 250 at the Kansas Speedway. Jones, a native from Michigan, posted a fast time of 30.101 seconds, 179.396 mph. to earn his third career pole in the series. He comes into the evening making his first start on the 1.5-mile oval.

Starting right beside him will be NASCAR Camping World Truck Series veteran driver Matt Crafton. Crafton posted a lap of 30.421 seconds, 177.509 mph. in the final round. Tonight will be Crafton’s first top 10 start of the 2015 season.

Brandon Jones will take the green flag in the Toyota Tundra 250 in the third starting spot. Jones posted a time of 30.484 seconds, 177.142 mph. for his second top 10 start of the year.

With 32 trucks showing up for the race, nobody went home after qualifying.

There were one on-track incident in the first round that caused Tyler Reddick and Austin Theriault to switch to the backup. Those two drivers will have to start at the rear of the field.
