MB Motorsports and Seal Wrap Score Best Finish of the Season at Atlanta

Good karma abounded at Atlanta Motor Speedway for MB Motorsports and SealWrap as they launched their effort to support Operation Homefront.  The service members the team hosted at the track must have brought some good luck, as Jack Smith and the #63 MB Motorsports crew scored an 11th place finish in the Good Sam Club 200, a personal best for Smith and the second best finish ever for MB Motorsports.

Crew Chief Paul Andrews used fuel strategy to get Smith in a position to use his ability to wheel a loose race truck around the super-fast 1.54 mile quad-oval.  As other teams needed to pit, Smith moved the SealWrap / Operation Homefront Ford as high as 5th.  As the laps wound down, Smith fought old tires and over-heating to come home 11th.  “What a great night!” smiled Smith.  “I’m so proud of this team’s effort.  Paul had great strategy with the fuel and our spotter did an amazing job guiding me around the track.  Each time out we just get better and better and to be able to have a run like this with our guests from Operation Homefront with is fantastic!”

Team owner Mike Mittler was ecstatic.  “Oh, man!  This might as well have been a win for our little team.  I can’t say enough about our guys, Paul Andrews, Jack Smith and our sponsor SealWrap.  We have worked so hard to step up our program this year and we’re seeing it pay off.  I’m so glad we were able to bring home a finish like this for the servicemen we had here at the track with us.  I know SPEED mentioned it, but I hope race fans join us in supporting Operation Homefront.  They do tremendous work for our military families and you can make a $5 donation by texting HERO to 50555.”
