Boston Likes Martinsville’s Curb Appeal

No stranger to short tracks after two seasons in the ARCA Racing Series, Justin Boston feels right at home heading to Martinsville (Va.) Speedway this weekend for the Kroger 250. It will be his first start in the Truck Series in the No. 54 ZLOOP® Tundra at the tricky 0.526-mile track, but between a day of testing last week and a strong performance history from the Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) teams, Boston feels confident heading into the weekend.

KBM drivers have collected four wins, three poles, 492 laps led, 10 top-five and 14 top-10 finishes resulting in an average finish of 7.5 across 19 starts at Martinsville. All four wins have come in the fall events, two by Denny Hamlin and two by Darrell Wallace Jr.

Although Boston has never raced a truck at Martinsville, he did have an impressive showing in a Late Model race there in 2012. He worked hard for a top-10 finish after starting 30th and using all 150 laps to work his way up to ninth place. That experience combined with his test session last week, will give the rookie additional confidence heading into a notoriously difficult track.

Boston will also have new colors on his Tundra this weekend. ZLOOP® will be featured on the No. 54 Toyota Tundra at Martinsville.
