Joey Coulter Shifts Gears Within GMS Racing

During a successful NASCAR Camping World Truck series campaign in 2014 with GMS Racing, Florida native and motorsports veteran, Joey Coulter, displayed a wealth of knowledge and talent related to all aspects of the sport. The 24-year old driver continues to shine in the world of racing, but will cast his shadow with a different light during the upcoming season with the now Statesville, N.C. based team. As the racing community adjusts to an ever changing economy, Coulter will continue the evolution of his career and take on a new and exciting opportunity at GMS.

Coulter will transition from behind the wheel of the No.21 GMS Racing Chevrolet to a team leadership role, as he becomes the Team Relationships Coordinator for 2015. This will mark new territory for Coulter, who continues to bring his unique background and experience to a championship caliber organization. “I am excited to continue my relationship with GMS Racing,” said Coulter. “Unfortunately, due to a lack of sponsorship I will not be in a truck this season. Taking on a new position with GMS allows me to continue my involvement in the racing community and also stay involved as a driver with my family’s dirt racing program. So I get the best of both worlds.”

After relocation to the former Evernham/Richard Petty Motorsports building in Statesville, GMS Racing continues to plan for an exciting and competitive season. Additional announcements are currently being drafted for the team and a complete 2015 GMS Racing schedule is quickly emerging. With new and returning team members, the continued success of Joey Coulter and GMS Racing is secure. The first event for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Daytona International Speedway rapidly approaches. Everyone at GMS Racing is excited and prepared to kick off the season with a win in only 43 days.
