MAKE Completes FIRST FULL Season

Tonight, MAKE Motorsports will start the Ford EcoBoost 200. This start will complete the 2014 season, which is the first full season that the small family own and ran team out of Shelby, North Carolina has been able to complete.  The #50 Chevrolet Silverado has had the support to be able to attempt to run every race to the last lap but one. MAKE captured their first top 15 finish as well as a 12th place start during the 2014 season.

This season the #50 Chevrolet Silverado has had the majority of its sponsorship from the Drivin’ for Linemen campaign. This campaign is to bring awareness to the line industry and the Linemen that risk their lives to keep us powered. The #50 truck through out the season has also been supported by other line industry companies such as Elite Transport, Utility fleet Sales, International Lineman Museum, LinemensSupply.com, UCO Equipment, Altec Inc, Linewear, LIFE ON THE LINE Film, Elite Film Productions. All of these companies are tied to the line industry and supported the #50 Drivin’ for Linemen Truck this monumental year with MAKE Motorsports.

Mark Beaver, Co-Owner of The #50 Truck, says “It’s amazing to be able to finish out this year. We came close in 2012 with the Nationwide Series and it was pretty disappointing to not be able to run each race fully. This year with the exception of one we’ve had the support from sponsors to be able to come to the racetrack and compete. This is a huge accomplishment for a small team like ours and we can only get bigger and better.”

Piloting the #50 for the majority of the year and the face of the Drivin’ for Linemen Campaign is TJ Bell. TJ ran 17 of the 22 races this year for MAKE and is currently 21st in driver points. Travis Kvapil started out the year at Daytona and Martinsville with Jordan Anderson and Wendell Chavous rounding out the year.

Tracy Lowe, Co-Owner of MAKE Motorsports, says “We are very grateful of the sponsorship that we had this year along with the friendships we have gained along the way.  The year has been tough at times but as a team we have pulled together made it to the end here at Homestead. I’m super proud of what we have accomplished this season as a team.”

MAKE Motorsports has had additional associate support from Beaver Bail Bonds, Johnsen’s, Wix Filters, and Franklin Graphics.
