NCWTS: Homestead-Miami Speedway Ford EcoBoost 200 Preview

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will head to the Homestead-Miami Speedway for the 19th annual Ford EcoBoost 200. The race Friday night marks the final stop on the series tour of the 2014 racing season. Kyle Busch, who will pilot the No. 51 ToyotaCare Toyota, goes into the event as the defending race winner.

The entry list features a total of 36 drivers, which means nobody will be going home. Some of those drivers, include: Joe Nemechek, Ty Dillon, Tyler Reddick, Daniel Hemric, Ross Chastain, Scott Stenzel, Kyle Larson, Matt Tifft, Mason Mitchell, Wendall Chavous, Kyle Martel, Jordan Anderson, Derek White and Austin Hill.

Brennan Newberry, who found himself being ill when he woke up Thursday to practice, will step out of his No. 9 Qore-24 Chevrolet. NTS Motorsports have selected Ty Dillon to replace him behind the wheel. He has only one start of the year coming at the Eldora Speedway where he finished fifth. The 22-year-old Ty Dillon has three career wins total in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

Mason Mitchell, a 20-year-old who captured the 2014 ARCA Racing Series championship, will be making his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut on Friday. Mitchell will pilot the No. 48 Ford with sponsorship from NEEM and Wildlife Foundation of Florida. Keep in mind that this team is owned by Mitchell himself.

The two drivers of Matt Crafton and Ryan Blaney come into the weekend racing for the title. Crafton, who leads by 25 points ahead of Blaney, will just need to finish 21st or better to become the first back-to-back NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion. He comes into the season finale with two wins, 13 top-five and 16 top-10 finishes in 2014.

Crafton can also steal the owners championship from Kyle Busch Motorsports if Busch finds himself having issues early on. The No. 51 truck enters the Homestead-Miami Speedway leading the owner points by just 18. Busch will just need to finish 14th or better to claim the title.
