PIR debut for Jennings, Paul Andrews returns as crew chief

Justin Jennings is set to make his first start at Phoenix International Raceway in the Lucas Oil 150 as NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion Crew Chief Paul Andrews making the calls. Jennings will once again be piloting MB Motorsports’ #63 Mittler Brothers Machine & Tool / LG Seeds / Roofix / Excel Bottling Chevy Silverado.

“It’s always a challenge going to a new track. You’ve got so much to learn in such a short amount of time,” says Jennings. “Having Paul with us is a big plus for me. I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to learn from him. I always try to take what I’ve learned from tracks that have similar features and use that as a baseline when I first hit the track.”

“Justin adapts quickly,” notes crew chief Paul Andrews, who last worked with the team in 2011. “I think he will do just fine. We’ll try to maximize our track time in practice and hopefully find a set up that suits his driving style as well as the track conditions.”

Adds Jennings, “If we can keep the gremlins out of the truck, it will be a good night for our marketing partners at LG Seeds, Roofix, Excel Bottling and of course our friends at Eagle Rock Camp.”

“Our new partners at Roofix, Inc. have operations in the Phoenix area,” says team owner Mike Mittler. “They’re going to have some folks with us, which is always good. They’ve also committed to joining the team in supporting Eagle Rock Camp, which is wonderful. The camp does great work with our military families who are struggling with the effects of war.”

The Lucas Oil 150 will air Friday night at 8:30PM (EST) on FoxSports1, with pre-race coverage starting at 8:00PM. You can follow @MBMotorsports on twitter.
