Timothy Peters Earns 11th-Place Finish at New Hampshire

Timothy Peters and the No. 17 Red Horse Racing Toyota Tundra team started the UNOH 175 from the eighth position on Saturday afternoon, and drove to an 11th-place finish. The 185-mile event remained uneventful for the first 100 laps, with teams visiting pit road under green-flag conditions. Peters reported to crew chief Marcus Richmond that his only struggle was a loose condition on the exit of Turn 3. During green and yellow-flag pit stops, the No. 17 team provided Peters with fresh tires, fuel, minor air pressure and chassis adjustments to tighten the handling. The final 30 laps around the one-mile track were slowed by four caution periods. Peters drove into the top five of the running order where he remained until the lap-164 restart when he was caught on the outside and lost track position, taking the checkered flag in 11th.

Timothy Peters Quote:

It was great to be back up here at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. I was excited when I saw that it was back on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule. We had a great Toyota Tundra all weekend, and during the race. The guys did a great job all day; I just lost us some track position on that restart when I was stuck in the outside line. The result doesn’t show how good this team and truck really were this weekend. I’m excited to take that momentum to Las Vegas (Motor Speedway) next week.
