Horizon Pharma Partners with Peck Motorsports for Lucas Oil 225 at Chicagoland

Horizon Pharma has joined NASCAR driver Todd Peck’s mission to inspire those living with arthritis to maintain an active and fast-paced lifestyle. Horizon Pharma will serve as the primary sponsor of Peck’s No. 40 Chevrolet Silverado for the Lucas Oil 225 at Chicagoland Speedway on September 12. The race will mark Peck’s fourth NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event of the season.

Horizon Pharma, Inc. is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on improving patients’ lives by identifying, acquiring and commercializing differentiated products that address unmet medical needs. Horizon markets a portfolio of products in the areas of arthritis, pain and inflammatory diseases including VIMOVO® (naproxen/esomeprazole), DUEXIS® (ibuprofen/famotidine) and RAYOS® (prednisone) delayed-release tablets.

Peck, who suffers from both juvenile arthritis and osteoarthritis, has never let his conditions slow him down. He, along with Horizon Pharma, will visit the Illinois Bone and Joint Institute prior to the race at Chicagoland Speedway to share his story with the patients and staff. They aim to inspire others with arthritis to maintain a healthy lifestyle with frequent activity.

Additionally, the Arthritis Foundation, Heartland Region will join Peck and Horizon Pharma at Chicagoland Speedway. The Arthritis Foundation will bring its families, volunteers and staff that comprise the region to the Lucas Oil 225 and treat them to free tickets, a pre-race tailgate party and an autograph session with Peck on race day.

“Given the difference Horizon products have made in my life, I’m proud to partner with them and to have them with us at Chicagoland Speedway,” said Peck. “With our shared passion for helping others with arthritis, I look forward to working with Horizon to educate and hopefully inspire others like me living with arthritis to live a healthy and active life.”

Peck made his Truck Series debut in 2011. He has since made 11 starts. His best finish was 18th place, which he scored at Phoenix International Raceway in 2012.

“We’re thrilled to have Horizon Pharma join us at the Chicago Speedway,” said Keith Wolfe, crew chief and general manager of Peck Motorsports. “Every time we hit the track, we feel like we’re growing stronger as a team. I’m looking forward to hitting the track and showing our progress.”
