Coming Full Circle…The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) heads to Bristol Motor Speedway for the 13th race of the 2014 season. One year ago, Kennedy made his NCWTS debut at the 0.533-mile ‘colosseum’ in a combined effort between Ben Kennedy Racing and Turner Scott Motorsports. Kennedy’s No. 96 Chevrolet Silverado battled through the typical Bristol beating and banging, ultimately coming home with a 20th-place finish at the challenging track.
Here And Back Again…In addition to making his first-career NCWTS start in Bristol, Kennedy has two previous races under his belt at the Tennessee track in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. In those two events, Kennedy captured a best start of third (2013) and a best finish of sixth (2012). After racking up two top-10 finishes at the track in the series, Kennedy has an average finish of 8.0.

Previous Race Recap…Kennedy had a strong top-10 run going in his Michigan International Speedway debut, laying down fast lap times and appearing poised to pounce on the top five before being mired multiple laps down due to a late-race pit-road penalty. After running out of fuel just as he was coming in for his final pit stop of the day, Kennedy’s Heater.com Chevrolet stalled shortly after exiting the No. 31 pit stall, and he was penalized for pitting outside his assigned box. As a result of the stall and a one-lap penalty, Kennedy ultimately was scored 19th in the Careers for Veterans 200.
