David Starr to Make 200th Consecutive NCWTS Start

Back to back top-ten finishes have given the SS Green Light Racing team a boost heading into this week’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Lucas Oil Deep Clean 200 at the Nashville Superspeedway. Adding to the momentum the team is building is Friday night’s race will be David Starr’s 200th consecutive start in the NCWTS stretching back to July 19th, 2003 at the Gateway International Raceway.

David will have a hometown sponsor for this week’s race on the concrete mile and a third speedway, as Allegro Marinades will again join the SS Green Light team for the Lucas Deep Clean 200.

Zachry will also provide associate sponsorship on the No. 81 this weekend.

“We had a very good Toyota at Nashville back in April so I’m excited to get back there again,” Starr said. “It’s so cool to have Allegro on our truck this week; we get to combine three things I really love with country music, truck racing and grilling with Allegro Marinades.”

“I’m looking forward to meeting all the Allegro employees again and I really hope that we put on a good show for them.”

“My Crew Chief Jason Miller and all the SS Green Light guys have given me great handling trucks the last few races and I think we can run up front this week,” continued Starr. “We made a nice move in the points the last two weeks and we need to keep that momentum going.”

“We’ve identified that fans of NASCAR, country music and those who enjoy grilling out are our best customers,” said John Fuqua, president of Allegro Marinade. “Nashville Speedway is only about two hours away from our facility and we’ll have about half of our employees coming to the race along with customers and business partners. It’s a great place to market our products and reward our employees with a great day at the racetrack.”

David has completed 1651 of 1656 laps in the eleven previous NCWTS races at the Nashville Superspeedway, a 99.7% completion percentage with a best finish of second in 2004. He has three top-fives and five top-tens including an eighth place finish earlier this year with an average starting position of 13.4 and an average finish of 11.2.

The Lucas Deep Clean 200 is the 257th consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team and the 277th career start and 200th consecutive start for Starr in the Truck Series. David has accumulated four wins, 45 top-fives and 111 top-tens in his 14-year career.

There are only 33 trucks on the preliminary entry list for the Lucas Deep Clean 200.
