Joey Coulter Earns Fourth-Place Finish at Iowa
Joey Coulter collected a fourth-place finish in the American Ethanol 200 presented by Enogen at Iowa Speedway, earning his second top-five finish in nine NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) starts this season. Coulter scored the ninth-fastest time in qualifying and immediately showed the speed of the Allegiant Travel Chevrolet from the beginning of the 200-lap affair. The first caution of the night waved on Lap 40, and Coulter was called to pit road by crew chief Jeff Stankiewicz for four tires, fuel and a chassis adjustment to better handle the evolving track conditions. A fast stop by the No. 21 Allegiant Travel team earned Coulter a prime spot on the restart, securing seventh position. Coulter paced the field for the next 11 circuits around the Newton, Iowa facility before the next caution flag waved on Lap 56 due to a single truck spin. An incident on the frontstretch on Lap 63 slowed the field for the third time, and while under caution, Coulter radioed that he may have a problem with his gauges. Powering on, by Lap 70 Coulter had advanced to fifth position, settling in and running some of the fastest lap times of the night. The 24-year-old remained in the top-10 throughout the rest of the 175-mile race, and an excellent effort by his pit crew during a pit stop on Lap 128 allowed him to restart in the fifth position and ultimately take the checkered flag in fourth. This is the Miami Springs, Fla., driver 's second top-five finish of the season; his first was a fifth-place finish earned at Dover International Speedway in May. Coulter is currently ninth in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship driver point standings.

The major difference this weekend was that we put the entire race together and finished where we had been running all day. The pit stops were better at Iowa Speedway, the truck was better, and I made better decisions at the end of the race, and as a result we brought home a top-five finish.”
