Ben Kennedy NCWTS Preview: Iowa Speedway
Headed To The Heartland...The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) heads to Newton, Iowa for its first and only stop of the season at Iowa Speedway. The 0.875-mile oval is one of five tracks on the circuit where Ben Kennedy made a start in 2013, earning a top-15 finish in his Iowa debut. In addition to one NCWTS event, Kennedy has made more than 760 laps at the Midwest track, having participated in five events in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE) since 2011. In those five NKNPSE starts, Kennedy earned a best start of sixth and a best finish of ninth.

Kennedy most recently was behind the wheel of TSM-228 at Gateway Motorsports Park last month. This is also the same truck Kennedy drove to an impressive career-best finish of third at Martinsville Speedway earlier this year.

Previous Race Recap...In his first-career race at Kentucky Speedway, Kennedy put forth a solid qualifying effort and fought hard for the duration of the UNOH 225, overcoming multiple handling challenges to bring home the No. 31 Turner Scott Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado in the 10th position. Kennedy's finish also earned the 22-year-old Sunoco Rookie of the Race honors, extending his lead in the 2014 NCWTS rookie battle.
Ben Kennedy on Iowa Speedway:
"It feels good to be going back to a track where I have some experience. I really liked Iowa Speedway a lot when I raced there in the Truck Series last year, and I'm fortunate that I also have a lot of laps there in the K&N Series. Iowa Speedway always draws a great crowd and has some of the most welcoming fans. It's a great facility and I can't wait to get back there."
