German Quiroga Red Horse Racing: Kentucky Race Advance

This Week’s OtterBox Toyota Tundra at Kentucky Speedway… Germán Quiroga will be competing in chassis No. 003 in the UNOH 225 at Kentucky Speedway this week. This is the same Toyota Tundra that he drove to his career-best second-place finish at Gateway Motorsports Park on June 14.

Quiroga at Kentucky Speedway… This will be Germán Quiroga’s second time competing at Kentucky Speedway. His first visit to the Sparta, Kentucky race track was in 2013 where he started from the eighth position and finished eighth, while competing for Red Horse Racing.

Race Rewind: Gateway Motorsports Park… Quiroga earned a career-best second-place finish in the Drivin’ for Linemen 200 at Gateway Motorsports Park on June 14. The Mexico City native was fast in practice, finishing seventh in both sessions on Friday, June 13, and advancing to the final round of qualifying where he earned a ninth-place starting position. Quiroga was competitive throughout the 167-lap event, leading five laps, and taking the checkered flag in the second position after an intense three-lap battle for the win.

GERMÁN QUIROGA QUOTES:

On a Historic Second-Place Finish at Gateway Motorsports Park… “I’m really happy with our second-place finish from Gateway (Motorsports Park) and I know that first win is coming soon. The whole team has been working really hard and we’re going to Kentucky (Speedway) with a lot of confidence. Hopefully we can capture that checkered flag.”

On heading to Kentucky Speedway…“I’m looking forward to racing at Kentucky (Speedway) again. We had a top-10 finish there last year, so I think it was one of our better race weekends. I’ve learned a lot as a driver and it won’t be a new track for me so we should have a good weekend.”
