Drive For Savings Signs Sponsorship Contract with Dakoda Armstrong

Drive For Savings announced today that it has signed a sponsorship agreement with ThorSport Racing’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver, Dakoda Armstrong. Through this relationship, Drive For Savings will appear on the ThorSport Racing driver’s truck to enhance and promote the Drive For Savings brand throughout the United States.

“Drive For Savings is an organization that strives to raise awareness of the lack of funding that non-for-profit organizations deal with on a daily basis. We raise this awareness through innovative, high technology, fundraising programs that are catered to the individual organization’s needs,” explained Casey Kemerly, CFO of Drive For Savings.

“We are really excited to have Dakoda Armstrong on board with Drive For Savings as an ambassador who can connect with many audiences around the United States through NASCAR. Dakoda is uniquely positioned to introduce the company to a new generation of organizations that desperately need help in increasing their revenue throughout the fiscal year.”

Drive For Savings and Armstrong are looking to help increase the revenue for organizations of all sizes. Whether it is a baseball team that consists of 10-40 players, national organizations with over 6.5 million members, or anything in between, the goal of this organization and the partnership is to get the word out and raise the necessary funds for those organizations to continue to lead and shape the future of America.

“I am so excited to have the opportunity to represent the Drive For Savings program,” said Dakoda Armstrong. “I have been a part of many organizations that have struggled to perform at their highest ability because of the lack of funds, and I’m hoping our promotion will help improve the funding for these groups that participate in Drive For Savings. I am looking forward to sharing the excitement that I have about this company with NASCAR fans and help them get involved.”

ThorSport Racing Vice President of Motorsports Partnerships, Matthew LaNeve, also shared his enthusiasm for the announcement.

“ThorSport Racing is pleased to be a part of Drive For Savings’ efforts to raise funds and awareness for youth groups and other non-profit organizations,” LaNeve commented.  “This partnership is a great opportunity for all of us to help raise the funds needed for these groups to continue their efforts in our communities and nationwide. Consumers that participate in Drive For Savings are not only doing their part to help these programs, but are also saving money themselves at many national retailers. We’re very excited to help promote Drive For Savings to our fans and the rest of the NASCAR community.”

Dakoda Armstrong began his racing career competing in go-karts at the age of 6. Since claiming the 1998 WKA National Championship in his first year of competition, he has gone on to capture over 200 feature wins while competing in go-karts, Quarter Midgets, bandoleros, Micro/Mini Sprints, Kenyon Midgets, 410 Non-Wing Sprint Cars and Midgets.  Among his most significant achievements, Dakoda became the youngest driver at age 13 to win a USAC National Championship title.

The Indiana native’s next move came in 2009 when he signed with Penske Racing as a development driver and began competing in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards. The following season, he won two races in the competitive field, which helped him on his way to become the 2010 ARCA rookie of the year. This season, Armstrong has spent time behind the wheel in his USAC midget, along with five ARCA Racing Series starts that include a win in his most recent start at Winchester Speedway. On July 16, 2011 Armstrong will make his debut in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Iowa Speedway, driving the No. 98 Chevy Silverado for ThorSport Racing. He will be the teammate of veteran drivers Matt Crafton and Johnny Sauter, both of whom have impressive resumes and Victory Lane expectations at ThorSport Racing.
