Germán Quiroga Finishes Ninth at Dover; Earns Fifth Consecutive Top 10 of the Season
Germán Quiroga finished ninth at Dover International Speedway, earning his fifth consecutive top-10 finish in the 2014 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season. The drivers were only allowed to turn a few laps on the Dover, Delaware race track before practice was postponed due to rain on Thursday evening, with Quiroga turning the second-quickest lap. Friday's qualifying session was converted into a final practice session, and although he felt good about his No. 77 NET10 Wireless Toyota Tundra he still felt there was work to be done. The starting lineup was set per the rule book after qualifying was cancelled, so Quiroga started fourth, on the outside of the second row. Once the green flag dropped he held his track position and managed to advance to third after the first restart. Quiroga was driving his NET10 Wireless Tundra down pit road when the caution flag was displayed for an incident on the front stretch, putting the team a lap down to the leader. He restarted from the 19th position and began to fight his way back through the field. Quiroga was running 12th when another caution came out and he brought his Tundra down pit road for a second time. Following the restart he moved into the top 10 and was in the ninth position when the checkered flag waived. The Mexico City native is now fourth in the Camping World Truck Series championship point standings, just six points behind the leader, and is the only driver in the series who has earned a top-10 finish in every race this season.

Germán Quiroga Quote:
"I'm happy with our result from tonight, even though it's not the finish we had hoped for. We had to fight really hard to keep our top-10 streak alive but we were able to come home ninth. The biggest thing is that we closed some of the points gap; we're only six points behind the leader now. I have to thank my sponsors NET10 Wireless, OtterBox and Toyota for their continued support, and I'm really looking forward to racing at Texas [Motor Speedway] next week."
