A Dog Named Dover… Peters and his wife Sarah have an 8-year-old chocolate lab named Dover. Peters immediately loved the Dover, Delaware race track after qualifying fourth and finishing sixth in his first race there, and sixth NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, and decided a dog named after one of his new favorite tracks was a perfect fit.

TIMOTHY PETERS QUOTES:

On returning to “The Monster Mile”, one of his favorite tracks… “I love Dover (International Speedway) and can’t wait to go racing there. The concrete race track really suits my driving style; you have to be patiently aggressive. It should be a great race for us and for the fans.”

On the No. 17 team’s momentum and the 2014 season so far… “I think we’ve had a really good season so far. We’ve had a few unfortunate events, but we’ve never given up hope. The team has worked really hard, we’ve had some good finishes and we’ve continued to fight for the championship each week. I have no doubt that we’ll be there at the end if we just continue to work hard each week.”
