Brian Ickler Red Horse Racing: Kansas Race Advance

This Week’s Bullet Liner Toyota Tundra at Kansas Speedway…
Brian Ickler will be in chassis No. 016 this Friday at Kansas Speedway, the same chassis he drove during a test session at Charlotte Motor Speedway in April. This Red Horse Racing truck had two top-10 finishes in 2013, sixth at Chicagoland Speedway (September) and ninth at Texas Motor Speedway in November. In the off season this truck was updated with the new 2014 Toyota Tundra body.

Ickler’s History at Kansas… It should come as no surprise that Brian Ickler lists Kansas Speedway as one of his favorite stops on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series circuit. The California native has only competed twice at the Kansas City race track, but he came home with two top-five results on both occasions, finishing fourth and fifth.

Race Rewind: Martinsville Speedway… Brian Ickler started from the seventh position in his No. 7 Bullet Liner for the postponed Kroger 250 at Martinsville Speedway. He battled in the closing laps to finish 10th in the second race on the 2014 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule, earning his 11th top-10 finish in 24 career Camping World Truck Series starts and climbing to 13th in the driver championship point standings.

Brian Ickler on the Set Up… Although the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series hasn’t raced since March, Brian Ickler has stayed busy. During his time away from the track he manages “Ickler Manufacturing,” a manufacturing shop that he has built from the ground up. Kaitlyn Vincie and the FOX Sports 1 crew stopped by his shop to get an inside look at his business, and to film a segment that will air on the Set Up show on FOX Sports 1 prior to the SFP 250, Friday, May 9.

BRIAN ICKLER QUOTES:

On returning to Kansas Speedway, a track where he’s had great results… “I feel really confident going into this race week at Kansas Speedway. Not only have I finished well there in the past, but it’s also one of my favorite race tracks. We were able to test the truck we’ll be racing there at Charlotte Motor Speedway a couple of weeks ago, and Chris (Carrier) and the rest of the No. 7 Bullet Liner team have worked really hard to give me a Toyota Tundra I feel I can win with.”

On the 2014 season so far… “We’ve only had two races this season but I feel like we’ve improved tremendously as a team. I’m so thankful for the support I have from my sponsor Bullet Liner who really believe in me and are excited to be a part of the sport, and for all the guys at Red Horse Racing who have been working really hard to give me fast trucks each weekend. I have no doubt that we’ll be successful if we keep the momentum moving forward like it has been.”
