Ryan Blaney Daytona Post-Race Report

Ryan Blaney (@RyanBlaney22), driver of the No. 29 Cooper Standard CareersForVeterans.org Ford F-150, made the first start of the season for Brad Keselowski Racing (BKR) on Friday evening during the NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona.

Blaney enters his 3rd season with Brad Keselowski Racing with the goal of capturing the 2014 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) drivers’ Championship. When the race got underway, Blaney maintained his top 3 position through the first caution of the evening on lap 20.

Crew chief Chad Kendrick called Blaney in for a fuel only stop, and send Blaney back out towards the front of the pack. The second caution of the night waved on lap 50 for an incident that happened behind Blaney. After taking two tires and fuel, Blaney made contact with the No. 28 truck exiting pit road, creating minor damage to the nose of the Cooper Standard CareersForVeterens.org machine.

Blaney was unfazed by the damage, and maintained his position towards the front of the field, bringing his Ford F-150 home in sixth position when the checkered.

The No. 29 BKR team currently sits 4th in the NCWTS driver and owner point standings, 5 points back from first.

“I really wanted to win this race for the new Cooper Standard CareersForVeterens.org program. We take a lot of positives out of the first race as a team, and I know we will have fast trucks all year long. I’m excited for my next Truck start in Martinsville and another opportunity to bring Brad a trophy.” – Ryan Blaney
