Tyler Reddick Daytona Post-Race Report

Tyler Reddick (@TylerReddick), driver of the No. 19 Reese Towpower Ford F-150, made his debut start for Brad Keselowski Racing (BKR) on Friday evening at Daytona International Speedway in the NextEra Energy Resources 250.

After a cancelled qualifying session and an hour delay for rain, Reddick rolled off the starting grid in the 10th position. On lap 20 the competition caution was waved and crew chief Doug Randolph took the opportunity to call in the Reese Towpower F-150 for two tires and a can of fuel. After a clutch issue on pit road, Randolph called Reddick back in for the other two tires and to top off the 19 Ford F-150 with gas.

Reddick raced in the lead draft in the middle stages of the race holding his own against NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) veterans.

With 27 laps to go ‘the big one’ occurred entering turn 1 of the 2.5 mile superspeedway. Reddick’s Reese Towpower Ford F-150 was caught up in the carnage, not of his own doing. Reddick had a masterful drive back to 12th place at the finish

The No. 19 BKR team currently sits 12th in the NCWTS owner points standings, 15 points back from first. Reddick’s next start is at Martinsville Speedway on March 29th.

“I am so thankful to Brad Keselowski for the opportunity to driver his Reese Towpower F-150 at Daytona and throughout the majority of the 2014 season. It was a dream come true to race at historic Daytona, and I was able to develop a great relationship with my team and learn a lot at my first start. Look forward to getting into the Broken Bow Music Group Ford in a few weeks at Martinsville!” – Tyler Reddick
