Jeb Burton NCWTS Preview: Martinsville Speedway
Homeward Bound...Following a wild race at Talladega, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) will make its way to Martinsville Speedway for some short-track racing. A South Boston, Virginia native, Jeb Burton will hit the 0.526-mile track for the Kroger 200 on Saturday afternoon in the No. 4 Arrowhead/Kangaroo Express truck. In his last run at the paperclip-shaped track, Burton impressed all when he won the Keystone Light pole award, led the most laps and ended the day with a third-place finish.
This Week's Silverado...The No. 4 Turner Scott Motorsports (TSM) team will unload chassis TSM-229 at Martinsville Speedway. Making its fifth appearance of the season, TSM-229 has collected one pole, three top-10 starts and three top-10 finishes.
Come On By...Stop by and meet Burton along with his fellow TSM teammates at the NCWTS driver autograph session on Friday, October 25 from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m. EDT. The autograph session will be held outside of the main ticket office just outside of Turn 4.
Don't Forget to Vote...The polls have opened for the 2013 NCWTS Most Popular Driver award and Jeb needs your help! Vote once a day from now until November 15 at www.nascar.com/ncwtsmpd. #TeamBurton.
Don't Miss the Action...The Kroger 200 can be seen live on Saturday, October 26, with pre-race coverage beginning at 1:00 p.m. EDT on FOX Sports 1. The race can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as SiriusXM Satellite Radio, channel 90.
Previous Race Recap...In his track debut at Talladega Superspeedway, Burton received his sixth Keystone Light pole award of the 2013 NCWTS season but was unable to pull the No. 4 Arrowhead/Kangaroo Express Chevrolet truck into victory lane after a frightening, multi-truck accident occurred on the final lap of the Fred's 250. After being evaluated and released from the infield care center, Burton was scored with an 18th-place finish. The 21-year-old rookie remains fourth in the NCWTS Driver Point Standings.
Jeb Burton on Racing at Martinsville Speedway:
"I can't wait to get back to this track. It's my favorite track on the circuit. We dominated last time we were here and unfortunately just gave it away towards the end. We have a really good truck and I think we have a good shot at getting another pole award and, hopefully, another win. It'll feel good to be back at my home track and see all my hometown fans, friends and family."
